Welcome to the Wyoming  Junior Golf Tour |
| The Wyoming State Golf Association is proud
to present the Wyoming Junior Golf Tour (WJGT).
The WJGT is a program designed to offer competitive
golf opportunities to boys and girls of various
ages and skill levels throughout the state
of Wyoming.
In addition to the Wyoming State Junior Amateur
Championship, the 2012 tournament schedule
will include six Regional Events.
Each Region will host one 18/36-hole event
between June 4th and August 9th.
The WJGT will use the Stableford Scoring System for the 7-9 and 10-12 age divisions in 2012. Stableford is a form of stroke play in which play is against a fixed score at each hole as below:

In Stableford the winner is the competitor who scores the highest number of points. The marker is responsible for marking only the gross number of strokes at each hole where the competitor’s score earns one or more points. (Rule 32-1b)
It is our hope that this will be a more player-friendly format for young and beginning golfers in particular as they will be allowed under the Rules of Golf to pick up after exceeding double-bogey on a hole. However, more advanced players will still return a stroke play score for each hole where points are earned, as is their responsibility under Rule 32-1b. |

Membership
|
|
WJGT membership is required in order to participate
in the Wyoming State Junior Amateur and any of the
regional events. Boys and girls ages 7 through the
summer following their senior year of high school
are eligible for membership. .
Members will receive a Rules of Golf Rule Book, membership bag tag, and WSGA Membership, which includes a USGA Handicap Index through the GHIN Service, and a subscription to Scorecard Magazine.
Fees – WJGT Membership: $20, Regional Events:
$30 each, Wyoming State Junior Amateur: $50
